Why should we care about space in 2020?

Space is being transformed by innovations like small satellites, micro launchers, robotics and constellations. As the space economy grows and changes, we want to use challenge prizes to secure a place for Britain’s space industry in these exciting new markets, and serve commerce and society alike.

Mayor’s £1m Resilience Fund: Call for challenge partners in London


We are developing open innovation competitions to help groups working on specific challenges in London like inequality, ageing infrastructure, food insecurity, poor health and well-being. Apply by 14 December.

Call to create healthy, thriving, climate-neutral cities


We want to work with cities around the world to identify and scale innovative ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while creating thriving communities. The first step of this process is an open call to cities to put forward their biggest challenges. Closes 22 January 2021. Submit ideas.
