Spotlight on...  Student Loans

The Irish League of Credit Unions recently published some interesting and encouraging findings of a national study which examined the attitudes and concerns of third level students and their parents .

The survey found that students are more optimistic than ever about their future, with 75% saying they expect to find work in Ireland when they finish college. However money issues and debt continue to be a major worry for students, with 66% working to help make ends meet. Eight in ten parents also say they are struggling to fund third level costs and 56% are particularly worried about the cost of accommodation.

Don't forget that we are always available to discuss loan options at Blackrock Credit Union, just call into us on Carysfort Avenue or phone 01 2831043.

Each quarter we will introduce you to one of our fantastic staff members, up next is our long standing teller, June Whyte.
June Whyte has been working with us in Blackrock Credit Union as a teller for over 14 years. Her bright familiar face provides a cheery welcome for all our 4,500 members no matter the weather!

Married to Paddy with two grown sons she spends the majority of her spare time treading the boards with the Dun Laoghaire Musical & Dramatic Society having been a member for nearly 20 years.
